Summer Camp
The fun and friendship continue into the summer with Summer Camp at the Westside Waldorf School! Enrolled WWS families and community members make lifelong memories as campers at a Waldorf-forward summer camp for both Grades and Early Childhood.
In the Grades Camp for incoming Grades 1-4, campers take part in unique themed camp sessions with age-specific activities and events, with weekly hiking and beach trips, scavenger hunts, week-long projects, and dress-up days. Camp weeks include All About Arts, Junior Inventors, Cultures and Cooking, and Outdoor Adventures.
A day at camp sees students welcomed with an outdoors free play, followed by morning circle song and games. Campers then take part in various theme-specific activities, such as scavenger hunts, crafting, team building, drawing, and storytelling, followed by a free-choice club house of board games and art, with the camp day ending in a closing circle ceremony. Campers enjoy morning and afternoon snack, lunch, and two recess periods during the camp day.
Early Childhood camp for returning nursery and kindergarten students takes place at the Santa Monica campus, with healthful, homecooked snacks, outside play, crafts, games, and water play. Each week has a unique theme, such as Fun with Faeries, Under the Sea, and Rainbows and Playdough.
"My boys loved camp every day. They didn’t want to leave! And they both want to return next summer. Thank you so much!"
